Digital Broadcasting Deadline

By Fanatical Host

The Law

The Title III-Digital Television Transition and Public Safety Act mandates that all U.S. broadcasting stations cease analog broadcasts by midnight February 17 2009 and begin broadcasting using only digital signals.

Will This Affect Me?

Only 22% of U.S. citizens rely solely on analog broadcasts for their television viewing. If you don't have a television equipped with a digital receiver you will not receive television transmissions after February 17 2009. You will not be affected if you currently have cable TV, or subscribe to a satellite service.

What is DTV ?

DTV, digital television, is a television that is capable of receiving a digital signal broadcast by a broadcasting station. New laws state that beginning March 1 2007 all televisions,VCRs, DVRs etc. must be equipped with a digital receiver/tuner. Old stock can be sold without digital capability but it must be clearly marked as such. HDTV is High Definition Television, HDTV gives you the best quality picture.

The Solutions:

*Subscribe to cable or satellite TV.

*Purchase a Digital to Analog Converter Box

*Don't watch TV anymore.

*Purchase a HDTV television.

*Cancel your cable or satellite service
and watch DTV for FREE.

Take Action!

*Get up to 2 $40.00 coupons good towards Digital to Analog Converter Boxes. Hurry because they will not be given away after March 31 2009. The coupons must be used within 90 days.

*Purchase a new HDTV

*Dispose of your old analog television.

*Subscribe to cable or satellite television:

Comcast Digital Cable TV

Charter Cable TV
Dish Network

THE BOTTOM LINE

Your analog television will still work,
it just needs a little help to pick up the digital signal. You don't have to wait until February, most broadcasters are already using digital broadcasting. Send away for your 2 $40.00 coupons good towards approved Digital to Analog Converters, connect to your old television and enjoy a superior quality picture. After your coupon is deducted, the cost for the converter will be approximately $20.00.
